Laurena Hanley

Luarena  trained originally as a makeup artist and hair style designer for theatre, TV, film and fashion/beauty. After working extensively in theatre and fashion in Ireland, she went to London and worked for the prestigious cosmetic company Molton Brown. There she developed a skill for skin care analysis and treatment and became a very sought after makeup artist for magazines, fashion shows, videos, films, and TV.

She worked with The BBC, UTV, Video Fashion USA, SKY TV, Vogue and Marie Claire magazine. She has also done make-up for  CHER, PHILLIP TREACY, and a host of other celebrities.

Luarena has traveled throughout the world training people on skin care and makeup. 18 years ago Luarena returned to Ireland, and set up Luarena's Beauty Transformations in Kilkenny, where she created a haven for women who want a top to toe transformation.

Her team of assistants are  trained by Luarena or are taken on from top  beauty companies and she has a loyal following in both make-up artistry and beauty care for weddings, events and photography.

Over a period of 20 years Luarena has also perfected the art of hair extensions, gel nails, acrylic nails, eye brow shaping( in the American style ) and a has an extensive love of all things connected with beauty inside and out.

Having completed courses for teaching and with 30 years of experience behind her, Luarena also runs courses in makeup artistry, gel and acrylic nails, nail art, and tanning.
